2007 - THE YEAR OF THE SEVEN IN ARTPOOL After the six being a perfect number in multiple senses, seven is again one -by the dimensionist term- N+1. According to the tradition Five is the Principle, Seven represents Fulfilment. Between the two we find Six, the symbol of Creation. The year of the Seven is a year of Self-awareness and Spiritual Development.

According to the The Dimensionist Manifesto by Charles Sirato (1936) the formula "N + 1" expresses the Dimensionist development of the arts. The essence of Dimensionism: Deductive with respect to the past. Inductive with respect to the future. Alive in the present. At the exhibition Dimensionist works and documents by Charles Tamko Sirato will be shown, as well as Dimensionist works by Gábor Tóth and a selection of Hungarian experimental poetry from the collection of Artpool. Charles Tamko Sirato (1905-1980) is most remembered as a writer of children’s verse but is little known as an avant-garde artistic innovator despite the fact that his Dimensionist manifesto published in 1936 was signed by such artists as Arp, Duchamp, Kandinsky, Moholy-Nagy and Picabia. 23 March - 24 June 2007 - Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest As a program of the Budapesti Spring Fesztivál and Artpool Art Research Center PARASTAMP The artistamp collection of Artpool , which has grown into a worldwide one, celebrates its jubilee this year at the venue where the memorable Stamp Images exhibition was staged in 1987, in the Graphic Cabinet of the Museum of Fine Arts. The aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate through the informative products created by artists the paradigm change in art. The exhibition displays an expedient representative sample taken from a collection of nearly ten thousand sheets of stamps, comprising works by 250 artists from 25 countries, and created over the last 40 years. Author of several poetry books and studies, his drawings and
photos has been published in Greece and France (especially in

FLUXUS
EAST FLUXUS EAST represents a first stocktaking of the diverse Fluxus activities in the former Eastern Bloc; the exhibition shows parallel developments and artistic practices inspired by Fluxus, which are still adopted by some young artists today. Besides the “classic” Fluxus objects, the display will include photographs, films, correspondence, secret police files, interviews and recordings of music that document the presence of Fluxus in the former Eastern Bloc. As an interactive exhibition, FLUXUS EAST aims to facilitate a profound encounter with ideas, works and texts — some presented as facsimiles to permit intense study. Thanks to Artpool and György Galántai it is possible to play at FLUX PING PONG [video], and visitors are also invited to explore the POIPOIDROME by Robert Filliou (originally presented in 1976 at the Young Artists Club of Budapest and reconstructed by artpool in 1998). Dombis is a French visual artist who explores
the results of an abuse of technological processes in order
to confront the human viewer with his own primal irrationality. Pascal Dombis and Thanos Chrysakis have collaborated on several interactive video installations since 2004. The creation of //BLINK// has been decided during Process Revealed at Artpool P60 in April 2006, where both were participants and has been developed especially for Artpool P60 and uses the technological blink phenomenon to explore emerging audio and visual structures. //BLINK// examines un-controlled generated blinking structures. It's set of rules and conditions brings it close to the Gestalt theory, and some of its investigations on light blinking experiences. It also relates to different examples, across the ages, that tempted to open up new fields through the phenomenon of flickering : from Nostradamus experiments to Brion Gysin's "dream machine". more about the installation >> Realised thanks to the help of the French Institute in Budapest
