In the CD ROM version of Guy Bleus's collection, interesting and smart, sometimes even amazing, artistamps, cards, and envelops are displayed on the screen in the form of a slide show. If necessary, one can stop the show by clicking to a row of icons representing the buttons of a CD player, go back to an image that ran too fast or jump ahead to another. Bleus's CD ROM examines the relationship between the postal stamp and its artistic equivalent looking for the answers to questions like "what is an artistamp?" or "by what criteria can one define it?". One of the answers could be that, on the computer screen, the artistamp is first of all an image - if one did not know beforehand that what he sees is a stamp, he might well not believe it.
